Just Live Your Life (Essay)

"You can only live once but if you work it right, once enough". When Dana was with Rufus when he was a little boy she saved him a lot for example she saved him when he was drowning, when he was in the fire. And then Rufus go older and he did very horrible stuff to Alice like rapping her, stealing her children. Then at the very end of the book Kevin and Dana went and look at the past. Octavia Butler's  main point is that whatever happens in life it can affect your ancestors or your family in the future.
                "Whatever happens in your life whatever your pain is remember god is always with you no matter what". As you can see this quote can relate to kindred by, when Alice murders herself because she couldn't get her kids in the book. Another reason is when Rufus gets help by Dana because he was in danger. One connection to this quote is that when my mom was in the hospital i prayed for and my mom got out the hospital good.
             Another quote is "Life is complicated it starts before we're ready it continues while we are trying to figure out the point of it."This quote relates to kindred by when Dana almost got caught by the man when she was reading and writing. Another quote is " You only live once but if you work it right once enough". This quote can be define by if you don't get in trouble or make your life complicated you will have a great life to star with.
                 These quote mean a lot to me because it makes me feel good and what to do in life. And what I can start doing. I also choose these quotes because I wanted to talk about kindred and why these quotes can relate to kindred. These quote can relate to kindred because it has a lot of  things that are bad and stuff that it isn't possible. So that's why I choose these quotes.
                  Last but not least as you can see if you have a problem work it out and you will get a good chance of leaving a nice life. I suggest you to don't worry about nothing and just live your life.  As to kindred Alice life was very hard because of what happend to her. I feel really bad of what happened to her.

SAVE OUR SCHOOL!

My name is Patricia and I'm an 8th grader at Urban promise academy in Oakland, ca. I am writing this letter because we need to stop education rights. In my school theirs soccer, martial arts, cheerleading, girl power, homework club and etc. Urban Promise Academy needs funding for our classes and other field trips so we can successed in school. The thing i will miss about Upa is my teachers and soccer games and all those programs. My education is very important to me because i want to have a good life , I also want my family to have a good life too. My education will allow me to help out my family and me. Please support my education by letting California vote on the tax extension measure because you will also like people to support your kids education.

College for all reflection

One thing about my college experience is that it was very awesome but i didn't like 2 colleges that were Santa Barbra and Cal poly university because their were to boring and it was to sunny. The one that i liked more was Santa Cruz University because its a good school and i like it because its big and it has good food. One thing that can improve is that its to much walking. I also liked when we went to beach boardwalk because we can hang out with our friends and we can play with our friends in the arcade. I also liked that we can go and stay in the hotel with our friends and that we can go and visit our friends till 10. I also liked when we went to the buffet .

Expo Liberation Journal

Our area of study is segregation. Our community needs to mix people of color in schools because segregation needs to stop. Our community also needs to put rich and poor houses in every neighborhood because having rich houses will cause segregation. Our community should respect the different race in the United States because we should encourage the ones that are in poverty so they can have a better life. Our community will be more joyful if everyone gets along. We must get along with each other even if we don’t got the same race.

Expo Oppression Journal

Without this type of oppression people would feel unlike, would do anything to change their identity so they can be the same as others and not having others around oppression. When free from this form of oppression people will be happy and getting along with others and not having other types of segregation. Individuals will experience themselves without this type of oppression because every single person without the same skin color might get along in their own way.
